Better speech understanding on the phoneIf telephone signals are heard in both ears, speech intelligibility on the telephone is significantly improved, especially if background noise is present. Independent studies have shown that using the Phonak DECT phone instead of a standard home phone can improve speech intelligibility by more than 40%.
User friendlyNo programming or additional equipment is required to use the Phonak DECT telephone. The user only needs to record and talk. The phone works like a normal phone and the client does not have to change the hearing aid program. Clients hold the phone in the normal way (within 25 cm of the hearing aids) and the signal is streamed automatically.
An all-around solutionThe phone has a booster mode that amplifies the sound when clients do not wear their hearing aid. The phone also has a normal acoustic output and can therefore also be used by people who do not wear hearing aids. Up to six handsets can be connected to one base station, which is particularly useful in small offices.
